My girl friend and I have just come back from a 3 week trip round Sri
Lanka and this was by far our favorite place to stay of our whole trip.
The rooms are clean and colorful and all have hot water with comfy beds.
The view is amazing, one of the best in Ella and not not something you
would expect from a guesthouse at this kind of budget (4200 a night).
The highlight of Green Hills for us though was the atmosphere and the
host Podi, who is there to help you with everything you need for you
stay and to generally make you feel welcome. Also the food, I know
everyone says the guest house they stayed at had the best food but this
really does, its so tasty by far the best I had in during my trip.

"Best View!"
My partner and I and our friends stayed here for 3 nights. We arrived immediately after climbing Adams Peak and a long train ride so we were very tired. It is a 5 minute walk from the small town of Ella. Podi the owner was immediately helpful and very polite. He served us a nice lunch and lovely tea whilst we sat and saw the amazing view of Little Adams Peak, Ella Rock and Ella Gap. It had to be the best view you will ever see whilst eating your meal. The beds had mosquito nets which are needed in Ella. Would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Ella but book fast as this place is a little gem and Podi is starting to get regular guests already!
